Transformation

At PPIA Victoria, we believe that true progress stems from within. To remain impactful, relevant, and resilient, we have committed to a bold and structured transformation agenda. This transformation is not just about internal improvements—it’s about building a dynamic, transparent, and forward-thinking organisation that better serves our community, empowers our people, and strengthens our external presence.

This agenda is guided by a deep commitment to integrity, collaboration, innovation, and sustainability. It encompasses every critical aspect of our operations, ranging from financial responsibility to human capital development, robust governance structures, and strategic public engagement.

Through this transformation, PPIA Victoria aspires to become a model organisation: ethical in conduct, efficient in execution, and impactful in both internal culture and public influence.

Functional Division Restructurisation

Supporting Growth through Strategic Realignment

As part of our broader organisational transformation, PPIA Victoria has restructured its functional divisions to better align with evolving goals, enhance collaboration, and improve operational effectiveness. This restructuring marks a significant step forward in how we organise our work, distribute responsibilities, and build long-term sustainability.

The revised structure introduces new divisions with clearer roles and more focused mandates. It reflects our commitment to staying relevant, responsive, and strategic in how we operate—both internally and in our engagement with external stakeholders.

Key Structural Changes
  • The former Creative-Multimedia Division and Marketing Division have been separated into more clearly defined and purpose-driven divisions:
    • The Design Division is responsible for developing and maintaining PPIA Victoria’s visual identity. This includes overseeing the implementation of the brand guideline, ensuring visual consistency across platforms, and producing visual content such as mascots, posters, social media graphics, and promotional materials that support our communication efforts and strengthen organisational branding.
    • The Media and Communications Division focuses on managing and optimising PPIA Victoria’s social media presence, planning and producing informative content, maintaining the organisation’s website, and fostering online relationships with audiences in both Indonesia and Australia to increase the organisation’s visibility and ensure effective coverage of key events.
  • The Finance Division has been restructured into the Business Development Division, with a more strategic and growth-oriented focus. This division leads efforts in:
    • Establishing partnerships with companies through sponsorships to support organisational operations and key projects.
    • Designing and executing fundraising activities such as food and beverage sales or other creative initiatives.
    • Preparing grant proposals to various institutions, including Indonesian and Australian government bodies and local organisations, to secure funding for PPIA Victoria’s programs and initiatives.
Introduction of Four New Divisions

To support the expanding scope of the organisation, four new divisions have been introduced:

  • External Relations Division: This division is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with local and Indonesian community organisations, alumni of Victorian universities, and educational consultants. It also supports non-financial institutional partnerships and represents PPIA Victoria in external events.

  • Human Resources Division: This division manages the development and well-being of internal human resources. It oversees onboarding, training, performance evaluation, and professional growth initiatives to ensure members are well-equipped and supported in carrying out their roles.

  • Organisation Development Division: This division supports the Executive Board in fulfilling the coordination role as a chapter. It includes assisting branch (ranting) operations, reactivating inactive branches, establishing new branches, and reviewing organisational governing documents to ensure compliance with governance standards. It also organises training programs and collaborative events to strengthen engagement and alignment across all branches.

  • Strategic Studies Division: This division leads research and analysis in various academic and strategic areas, ranging from education, science and technology, social and humanities to Indonesian-Australian relations. It provides the organisation with data-driven insights, supports student advocacy efforts, and helps shape informed organisational stances on current issues.
